It’s the race of the decade. Slow, steady tortoise versus speedy, greedy hare. They’re fit, they’re keen, they’re completely mismatched. Surely it’s all over before it’s begun?

Following their sell out performances of The Enormous Turnip, The Little Red Hen and The Three Little Pigs, the hare-brained Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company return with an up-to-date, Olympic-sized re-write of this world famous fable.

The Hare & The Tortoise features puppets, acting, dancing, plenty of audience participation and an exciting, across-the-finish line ending. It’s full of comedy, music and sound effects and harps back to the grandstand days of the seventies. Grown ups like the original take on the classic and the hilarious development of the characters with their quirks and catchphrases, while children love the story that shows them anything is possible and puppets that make their imaginations buzz! Most children are desperate to meet Chris Canary (one of the puppets) afterwards and where possible the cast can bring the puppets to the foyer following the show.
