ALISON NEIL has been touring her highly acclaimed one-woman shows since 1989, beginning with BELLA - THE STORY OF MRS BEETON, followed by TRULY YOURS, C.B. (about Charlotte Bronte), "THE JUST-WILLIAM LADY" (about Richmal Crompton), "THE SHAKESPEARE LADIES CLUB" (tales of Georgian London), "LIVING IN THE LIGHT" (story of Hildegard of Bingen), and... "THE SIXTH WIFE" Two of her plays have been adapted as Afternoon Plays for BBC Radio 4. She won the Drama Association of Wales' 2008 Best Play by a Welsh-Based Writer. Alison Neil has been a professional actress for over thirty years, working in the West End, regional theatre, television and radio. She is also a historical researcher for events such as The Queen's Golden Jubilee, D-Day Celebrations in Hyde Park, and attractions such as The Smuggler's Adventure in Hastings, Rotterdam Avontuur, Tunbridge Castle and countless others.
