Based at The Picturedrome in Gloucester Tongues of Fire runs weekly drama classes and produces 2 full-length plays a year with young people from all over Gloucestershire. Past plays include Hamlet, Macbeth and Midsummer's Night Dream. It also runs "Peace through the Performing Arts" at The Asha Centre, a drama programme for young people from areas affected by war. Past productions include Arabian Nights and Grimm's Tales with young Jews and Arabs from northern Israel. Tongues of Fire also stages plays with people with special needs. Past productions include Pygmalion. Tongues of Fire puts on very high quality productions; it sees staging a play as an "initiation" process for young people as well as a way of developing skilss as actors and achieving artistic excellence.
