<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Cirencester School of Acting!</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Workshops</strong> for all ages are available throughout the year.&nbsp;2013 workshops will include a wide variety such as basic acting, masque, voice, movement, character, choreography, musical theatre, film work, radio acting and many more!&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Youth Theatre</strong> for 8-12, 13-15 and 16-18 year olds. Each week the sesssions will increase awareness of the performing arts, stagecraft, voice and movement and also give the opportunity to learn something of the working career of professional actors. This is a good opportunity for students to build confidence, socialise and have fun in performance.</p>
<p><strong>Private Classes</strong> - If you are looking to build confidence in performance in a fun and stimulating enviroment, perhaps this could be the answer for you. Classes include:</p>
<p>LAMDA Examination Tuition - Including Verse and Prose, Acting, Public Speaking and many more. These exams help develop communication skills, build confidence and help promote creative thinking. A QCF certification of skill can be achieved, counting towards UCAS points as well as contributing to career development.</p>
<p>RADA Shakespeare Certificate - This gives an in-depth study of Shakespeare and the English language. These certificates are for age 14 years and upwards and will help build confidence and knowledge of Shakespeare.</p>
<p>Other private classes available include, acting coaching, text work, audition technique and public speaking.</p>

SUMMARY:Children's Theatre
DESCRIPTION:<p>For ages 5-12. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Our Children&rsquo;s Theatre members are given the opportunity to develop an awareness of a range of performance techniques. With devising at the core of every activity and project the membership will have the opportunity to take part in at least one public performance per term. &nbsp;Much of our work is focussed on our community and local environment.</p>
<p><br />&nbsp;All the children will be given access to the most relevant type of support to enable them to achieve within this environment. The classes are delivered by fully trained staff and volunteers.<br /></p>

SUMMARY:Performing The Self: A Ten Week Workshop in Clowning
DESCRIPTION:<p>Following their highly successful Performing the Self one-year course in 2012, Two Hoots - Stroud&rsquo;s own clown/small-scale performance company - are offering a 10 week workshop on clowning.</p>
<p>Led by Adam Fotheringham and Eleanor Holliday, the workshop will offer participants a fun, creative and stimulating space in which to discover spontaneity, playfulness and self-expression through the medium of clowning.</p>
<p>Over the course of the workshop, participants will be invited to practically explore the following in a creative and supportive environment: World of the Clown; Play and Improvisation; Pleasure; Authenticity; Finding Your Clown; Meeting the Audience; Complicit&eacute;.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Fun and totally practical, this workshop is for anyone over the age of 16 who fancies liberating their inner clown and sharing the pleasure of playing. Suitable for experienced and inexperienced clowns.</p>

<p><strong>Adam Fotheringham</strong></p>
<p>Adam is a trained and highly-experienced teacher of performance and theatre practice, having worked in secondary, tertiary and higher education for 25 years. He is also a professional actor and director, working most recently with Two Hoots, the Gloucester Theatre Company and Year Out Drama Company in Stratford upon Avon. He has directed over 80 shows with a wide variety of theatre companies and educational institutions, and has extensively run theatre training and performance workshops in this country and abroad.</p>
<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Eleanor Holliday</strong></p>
<p>Eleanor has 16 years of experience in acting, singing, teaching and theatre-making. She has an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice. She was a stalwart member of TaurusVoice Theatre and regularly performs with local theatre companies &ndash; including Red Dog and Gloucester Theatre Company. She runs several community choirs and is a founder-member of clown trio Two Hoots. She has recently participated in courses on labyrinth theatre, creative writing, clowning and teaching in the life-long learning sector.<strong> </strong></p>

SUMMARY:Jumping Mouse - A Journey of Initiation through Painting and Drama
DESCRIPTION:<p>An in-depth, creative exploration of the Native American folk-tale Jumping Mouse. We will follow Jumping Mouse's journey step by step through art and drama exercises, as well as through group sharing and conversation, uncovering and reflecting on the deep and profound inner experiences which are explored in the story.</p>
<p>This is a three and a half day workshop, starting on the evening of Saturday 24th August 2013 and finishing lunch time on Wednesday 28th August 2013.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Participants will be invited to engage on a deep level with the process of creative enquiry, but there will also be laughter and opportunities for playfulness. No prior experience of making art or drama is necessary</p>
<p>The workshop is being offered by Indigo, an organisation that promotes self development courses through the arts.</p>
<p>The workshop fee is &pound;300. Concessions possible on application.</p>
