• Canvas Theatre Company are Third Year University of Gloucestershire students.

They are an inter-disciplinary company who produce vibrant and innovative work. Their sense of unity and initiative was the driving force behind a successful trip to Edinburgh Fringe festival. Their versatility has enabled them to explore genres ranging from children’s theatre to farcical comedy, touring in and around Gloucestershire. Entrepreneurial experiences, including fundraising events, have enhanced the company’s development and widened their aspirations as a group. 

Through the company’s self sufficient nature, confidence and experience they are enthusiastic about every one of their performances. They work as a collaborative ensemble, allowing each performance to be tightly knit, therefore expressing their unity.  Canvas theatre is inventive and eclectic in their approach, creating high quality work with a strong focus on visual style and performance skills. The variety of personality types within the company is what makes them so unique, creating original and exciting performances which enlighten audiences on the way. The emerging company remains determined in their talent through their youthful quality and expressive performances.  

New for 2011 they have a 1980's street art theatre performance, 'Blue Mondays'. The combination of dance, drama and singing will enlighten you all the way!!!
